Analog.  Create at least 3 tape liftings in your sketchbook, bring in for a table progress critique.

In Class           CRITIQUE

Arrive ready with 3 finished (analog) and 3 (digital), 6 in total, TAPE LIFTINGS.  All of your work must be mounted on black (acid free if possible) foam core.  Analog tape liftings must be scanned, enlarged if needed, and printed (using Zeppo) on tabloid (11 x 17) paper.  Digital tape liftings must be printed the same.

We’ll look at how the art of typography figures in to design.  How to use Suitcase, work with fonts on the Mac and spedify and use them in Illustrator and Photoshop.  You will learn how to create outlines, work with paths and the pathfinder tools.
