Joanne Pinna
Visual Communications 03 Graduate
University of Baltimore-Corportate Communications
I'm a student at the University of Baltimore in my senior year as a Corporate Communication Major. I work at the University of Baltimore in the Academic Resource Center as the head publicist. I have two graphic designers working under me as assistants. At the university, I design and distribute all publications such as posters, mailers, logo, flyers, business cards, etc. As head publisist, I am in charge of editing, formatting and updating the web. Also in the Academic Resource Center I began tutoring in a workshop called "PC to MAC 101". This workshop was designed for teachers and the students in making the transition between the two platforms. I couldn't have gotten this far without the help and knowledge from the Visual Communications department at HCC.
The Visual Communications degree at HCC has helped me immensely in my venture into the work force. I loved being a student there and one day hope to come back as a teacher. The staff at HCC has had a great influence in my life and my future. I will always remember them and thank them for all their support not only as a student but also as an alumni.
